The small canisters work well on a book shelf, on a console table, with books and candles, or on a table in two or threes, with or without flowers. The unique glaze would work well with pewter or silver candlesticks. It's just a question of your imagination. (12 inHx6 inW)< span>< p>
Medium Canister: This is ideal for any bookcase or mantel and groups nicely with the small and large canisters in this collection. Fill it with potpourri and set the lid by the side for a pleasant scent. (13 inHx7 inW)
Large Canister: This is ideal for any bookcase or mantel and groups nicely with the small and medium canisters in this collection. A pair would add drama to any mantel or console table. (15 inHx8 inW)
The silver-blue glaze of the Arno collection was inspired by the river that runs through the heart of Florence, home of the Italian craftsmanship that distinguishes our Fortunata collections. The other artistic feature of the Arno collection is the ceramic curls that belong only on these pieces. Each piece is piece is hand thrown on a potter’s well, hand decorated and finish ed with a glazing process that leaves a distressed patina on the terracotta bases. < p>
ABOUT FORTUNATA POTTERY:< span> Each Fortunata piece captures the tradition and charm of the ancient Tuscan workshops where the ceramics are skillfully hand thrown using a unique mixture of select clays. Every Fortunata piece is a unique com ination of creative design and traditional skills. These pieces are imported directly from Italy.
*Evidence of handcrafted work includes the slight color and size variations making the pieces truly one-of-a-k ind and highly collectable. Perhaps the most important feature of the Fortunata collection is the unique, heavily distressed, antique look created by uneven glazing.
