Vestine hills located between the foothills of the Apenines and the
Adriatic sea are covered with centuries old olive orchards. The mild
Adriatic breezes keep the temperatures quite warm throughout the year,
allowing the olives to grow in a very healthy environment without the
use of chemicals or pesticides. The olives are very healthy on a very
regular basis, unlike other parts of Italy where seasonal flutuations
seem to be more prevalent. The farmland owned and managed by Gianluigi
Peduzzi produces a bountiful quantity of olives which are milled in a
very modern community frantoio (olive mill) located at a
stone's throw from the family's compound.
