Spring in Switzerland
Posted by Ann Marie on 2/25/2012 to Inspirations
We were fortunate that on our arrival to Switzerland that the cold temperatures departed. We hiked through the vineyards in an area between Vevey and Lausanne overlooking the spectacular Lake Geneva as we went. The Vaud region is one of the top wine producing areas of Switzerland and we were surrounded by vines as we walked the Unesco protected trail. Our destination was to a local restaurant where we ate a simple Swiss lunch of local made sausauge, bread and cheese and of course a bit of a local
white wine.

We observed one of the Steamships preparing and practicing it's run for the soon to come summer visitors.
