We were fortunate that on our arrival to Switzerland that the cold temperatures departed. We hiked through the vineyards in an area between Vevey and Lausanne overlooking the spectacular Lake Geneva as we went. The Vaud region is one of the top wine producing areas of Switzerland and we were surrounded by vines as we walked the Unesco protected trail.
